The favourite chant of pro-EU protesters in Kiev's 

Independence Square was 'Out with the gang'. The riot police 

had withdrawn from the square the night before and this guy 
took the chance to stake his ground. Fascinating times.

Everybody should see Red Square once. It's an imposing space that made me think of spy novels. This is the Okhotny Ryad metro
station, with the State Historical Museum behind. 
It was -7 degrees.

King of the World. Memphis, Aug 2013

 

Delayed in Memphis overnight on the anniversary of Elvis's death, this Elvis competition was being held in our hotel (!)

The winner had just won $5000 for impersonating his hero. 

Quite random, and incredible.

This iconic print shop has produced music and arts posters 
since 1879. Great colours and style, and it's right next to 
all the bars on Broadway too.
